The program in Yucatan, Mexico was my gateway to international education and travel. Before the program, I had always found learning languages extremely difficult and couldn't imagine ever conversing comfortably in Spanish, let alone living outside my home country. By the end of the program, however, I was able to give a 30 minute presentation about my independent work with a host family. The professors know how to effectively challenge their students through both cultural and language immersion. It was truly a transformational experience!
